Was upgraded for free so left at 4 stars...was going to give three... but video drivers were not installed and there is an issue with the card that will not allow drivers to be installed correctly.
The display was skewed well to the right and had to go to safe mode to fix and still cannot get the drivers to load correctly... even after getting with Dell.
All in all a good purchase... will be much happier when I get the video issue fully resolved.

The OS wasn't fully installed, but it came with a copy, so I reinstalled it myself. But you can't get a system like this for this price anywhere.

Was looking for a desktop in a decent price range for my dad after I bought a recertified small form factor HP on another vendor's website. Found this in the midst of my travels and was generally a little on edge about purchasing a used product, but after looking at the vendor's rating as well as previous customers, I decided to go for it. For a small budget, this fit the bill perfectly. No shipping fee on a 35 lb package was a huge plus and it shipped quick via FedEx from CT to NY.
This build replaced a Dell Dimension 2400 running on a Intel P4 Socket 478 2.4GHz Northwood processor, and was a HUGE step up with the Pentium D in this 745 Optiplex. 750 GB SATA HDD and 3GB Dual channel DDR3 SDRAM. Came pre-installed with Windows XP Profession SP3 x32. Just had to update the chipset software and flash the BIOS revision for the mobo to accept my nvidia GeForce 6200 gfx card and everything worked perfect after that.
We have only owned it for about a week but so far it's working great! Condition under the hood looked generally good, no visible damage any motherboard components like capacitors, except for the little flexible latch on the PCIe x16 slot which was broken off. Some very minor cosmetic wear and tear on the case itself, but that's what you get when it was used by somebody else. Came with a recovery CD as well which I used to reformat the copy of XP that came pre-installed.
Great experience so far with the product and a good experience with the vendor. I definitely recommend!
